Martin Bullock, the man behind the most successful Manx Grand Prix team ever and no fewer than 21 race victories is launching a scholarship in memory of his late mother.

The Olive Bullock Scholarship is intended to help Newcomers at the Manx Grand Prix.

Each year, Martin Bullock Manxsport (MBM), the successor to Martin Bullock Race Team (MBR) will enter an Isle of Man resident newcomer in their first Manx Grand Prix.

MBM will provide and run the bikes for the rider, look after them through the event and give them the benefit of all the team's many years of racing experience.

The first recipient of the scholarship is Jonny Heginbotham, who won the Isle of Man ACU Centre clubman title last season. Heginbotham will be joined in the MBM team by Andrew Brady and Roy Richardson for the 2010 Manx Grand Prix.

The team will wear the traditional black and yellow colours that have adorned so many MBR riders over the past 20 years.
