Nick Jefferies 1983 Senior / 1993 F1 TT
Nick will be riding the same Honda RC30 that he won the 1993 F1 TT on
Chris Fargher 1983 Lightweight / Junior winner.
Chris will be riding a 1992 Yamaha TZ250 on the day.
Steve Moynihan 1971 Junior.
Steve will be riding a 1984 Suzuki RG500 on the day.
Bob Farmer 1966 Lightweight.
Bob will be riding a 248 Aermacchi Ala D'Oro on the day.
Norman Kneen 2003 Lightweight. 2004 Classic Lightweight.
Norman will be riding the same Honda RS250 (owned by Eric Bregazzi) that he rode to victory in 2003
Ewan Hamilton Four Classic Lightweight victories in 2005, '07,'08, '09
Ewan will be riding his trusty 1967 Suzuki T20 on the day, together with his Post Classic TZ 250
Les Trotter 1976 Senior
Les will be riding the very same Suzuki 1972 Suzuki 500 that he won the 1976 Senior on.
Dave Broadhead 1981 Junior
Dave's race winning average of 105.91 mph still remains as the fastest race average ever on a 350 twin at the MGP.
Mike Kneen 1980 Junior
Mike will be out on the 1980 Purdy / Hodges Yamaha TZ 350G
Chris McGahan 2004, '05, '09 Classic Junior MGP
Chris has been riding in the Manx for the last 25 years consecutively. He will be riding his 350 Hales Honda on the day.
Alan Oversby 2006 Ultra Lightweight
Alan will be parading the immaculate 350/500 Brian Richard's owned Kay prepared MV Agustas
Richard 'Milky' Quayle 1999 Lightweight / 2002 Senior Classic
Milky will be riding Martin Bullock's (MBR Racing) 1999 250 Vimto Honda, which is still the fastest ever 250 at the MGP.
Jim Hunter 1986 Senior Newcomers
Played truant from his first school teaching job to make this race!
Tony Duncan Rode in the MGP from 1989 to 1995, taking a double victory in 1995 winning both the Lightweight and Junior races. Tony will be riding a Yamaha TZ250 on the day.
Alan 'Bud' Jackson Bud has been riding in the MGP for 32 years and has won four races, the first of which was the 1986 Junior MGP.
Mark Parret Mark won the 2002 Senior MGP riding Des Collins 750 Kawasaki. He also finished third in the Junior in the same year. Mark will be competing in the Classic races this year.
Roger Luckman Roger won the 1979 350 Newcomers' race also winning the race overall. In 1980 Roger finished 16th in both the Senior and Junior MGP's.
Graham Rhodes Graham won the 2005 Senior Classic MGP riding a 499 Seeley
Derek Whalley Derek rode in the MGP for 21 years with three podium finishes in the Senior Classic, including winning the 2004 race. Derek also finished second in the 2004 Junior Classic race.
Nigel Beattie Nigel won the 2002 Lightweight MGP, also finishing second in the 2000 race as well as a podium finish in the Ultra Lightweight TT.
Gary Radcliffe Rode in the MGP from 1979 to 1985, winning the 1985 Junior. Gary also had four other podium finishes in the Junior and Senior races.
Carolynn Sells 'First Lady' of the Manx Grand Prix. Carolynn
Bob Jackson Famously leading in the 1998 Senior TT on the McAdoo Kawasaki before missing out to Ian Simpson. Bob has also won 5 MGP races.
Dave Montgomery Dave rode in the Manx between 1978 and 2000, winning the 1989 Junior race.
Manx Grand Prix Podium finishers
Brian Kneale Rode in the MGP from 1988 to 2000 finishing third in '99 / '00 and second in the 1997 Lightweight race.
Sean Collister Sean has won 30 MGP replicas with best positions of 2nd and 3rd in the Lightweight race. He will be out on a Padgett Honda RS 125 on the day.
James McCullagh 2nd / 2008 Senior
James will be riding the MBR Racing 750 Suzuki that he rode to second place in the 2008 Senior.
TT Podium finishers
Dave Leach Winner of no less than 4 TT races in the late '80's and early '90's. Top TT runner Dave also finished third in the 1990 Senior TT and has ridden in several MGP's.
Johnny Barton Robbed of victory in the Singles TT by mechanical failure (finishing in second place twice) TT and MGP riders liason officer will be riding a GSXR750 in this year's Senior Post Classic race.
Malcolm Wheeler Finished second in the 1986, '87 Production TT (Class 'C')
Rode in the 1974 to 1978
Malcolm will be riding his1984 F2 600 Ducati
Riders in the 2010 Manx Grand Prix
Paul Potter Paul, from Surrey, will be making his debut in the Ultra Lightweight Newcomers' Race, riding a RVF Honda 400.
Ken Davis Ken has only missed three MGP's from when he made his debut in 1995 with a best result to date of 9th in the 2003 Junior. Ken will compete in the 2010 Junior Classic. At Jurby he will be parading his 1970 Honda 350.
Iain Hill Iain made his Mountain Course debut in 2000 and already has a fastest lap at over 110 mph to his credit. He will be riding a 2007 Honda CBR 600 in this year's races and also at Jurby!
Tim Devlin Tim has competed in the MGP for the past 8 years, finishing 7th in the 2000 Newcomers Race. In the 2009 Senior MGP he finished 26th at an average speed of 110mph.
Roger Steele 'Rusty' has ridden in the MGP for 25 years, winning a team medal prize in 1987.
Steve Hodgson Steve has been riding in the MGP since 2006 and will be riding a Suzuki GS1000 in the 2010 Senior Post Classic race and a GSXR 750 in the Senior.
Marie Hodgson Maz has been riding in the MGP since 2005 with a best finish to date of 28th. She'll be riding in the Ultra Lightweight this year on Suzuki SV and the Senior on an R6. Good Luck!
Dan Millard Dan , from Bude in Cornwall finished 5th in the 2009 Newcomers Ultra Lightweight. He will be parading his beloved 996 Ducati on the day.
Past Manx Grand Prix riders
Ned Bowers Competed in the MGP from 1982 to 1989 (missed 1986). Nineteen years service as a travelling marshal, President of the Riders' Association and MGP Director.
Dean Harrison Experienced MGP competitor and TT/MGP Travelling Marshal, Dean will be out on the awesome Yamaha TZ750/4 for a few laps of the Jurby circuit.
Mick Miller Mick rode in the 1960, '61 and 62 MGP winning a silver replica in 1962. He will be riding an AJS 7R on the day.
Dick Standing Dick made his Mountain Course debut in the 1962 Junior MGP finishing 51st. He went on to win two bronze and one silver replicas in the Junior TT. Dick will be riding a 1957 BSA Goldstar on the day.
Des Evans Former chief travelling marshal and 1964, '65 MGP competitor, Des will be parading his 1950 Vincent Grey Flash 500.
Jochen Trockel From Dusseldorf, Germany, Jochen rode in the MGP from 2000-2009. He will be riding a 1968 Weslake 500 on the day.
Richard Hall Finished the 2006 Newcomers' and Senior MGP races. Riding an Aprilia 1000 at Jurby.
Owen George Owen rode in the Manx from 1986 -1991 with a best finish of 42nd in the 1989 Senior. Owen will be riding a 1979 850 Moto Guzzi on the day
Hugh Mitchell Hugh rode in the 1972/73 MGP finishing 24th. He will be riding a BSA Goldstar on the day!
Len Fallowfield Len competed in the MGP from 1984 to 1999, finishing in 9th position in the 350 Classic on two occasions.
Huw Huws Famously once sponsored by "Death Cigarettes', Welshman Huw rode in the MGP from 1993 to 2005. One of only a handful of riders to compete on the Mountain Circuit on a rotary engined Norton - he'll be riding the rotary at Jurby!
Of special interest.....
Sammy Miller Sammy finished third in the 250 World Championship as well as winning the British Trials Championship 11 times and achieving 9 Gold Medals in International Six Day Enduro championship.


Get your leathers on and come and join us at the Manx Grand Prix 'Jurby Festival', Sunday, August 29th. The Vintage Motor Cycle Club (Isle of Man Section) have kindly invited the MGP Riders' Association to be part of their highly successful Jurby Day (which was attended by close on 10,000 people in 2009).

  • Display your race bike in the 'Manx Grand Prix Race Paddock' at the airfield, next to our marquee at the airfield.
  • An hour of track time on your bike (race bike or road bike, but obviously it would be better of you were riding a race bike), no scruitineering, but proper riding gear required - cost £15
  • Live music
  • Lunch served
  • Presentation of 'Spirit of Manx award'

If you display your bike in our Jurby Paddock (next to our marquee) for public viewing and participate in our track display your name will automatically be entered to our prize draw:

  • 1st Prize - £400 Isle of Man Steam Packet voucher
  • 2nd Prize - a set of Pirelli race tyres
