James Hind followed up his dramatic Lightweight Classic TT podium earlier in the week with another unofficial lap record in the Junior class – improving his fastest time of the week to 121.105mph in this afternoon’s qualifying session.
Although lap records around the Mountain Course only have official status if set during a race, the Lincolnshire rider will undoubtedly start favourite for Wednesday’s Junior and Friday Senior Manx Grand Prix Races.
Nathan Harrison (120.221mph) and Andrew Fisher (120.217mph) both posted their fastest times of the week while Daniel Ingham stopped the clock at 119.792 on his Senior Suzuki bike. 2018 Junior and Senior podium finisher Stephen Parsons (119.341mph) will also be in contention in both races.
In the Lightweight Class, Francesco Curinga on the Bemar Racing Team Paton improved his fastest time of the week to 114.51mph ahead of tomorrow’s first MGP Supporters Club Lightweight Race while Alistair Sinclair on the CSC Racing Yamaha topped the leaderboard in the Ultra Lightweight class.
